This magically light filled home, designed to allow natural light via square glass blocks, strategically placed, permits light on walls from every direction. The art gallery owner decided not to put art work on the stair walls because of the designs created there by the dancing light patterns, moving rhythmically as the sun heads west. The clear glass blocks have been placed throughout the home to allow light in each room. Stephanie Ferrell designed the home and Joyce Schaeffer built as her personal home. The custom built home was built around an enclosed pool and guest quarters above the two car garage that helps to enclose the pool from the street. It has 4 bedrooms and 4 baths,plus 600sf 1 bedroom, 1 bath guest suite which would be a great home gym, home theater or bonus room. In the main house are 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, one bedroom and bath are downstairs which ideally works as a study. Much of the special tiles were brought in from Mexico and each tile in the kitchen is very heavy. Galley kitchen with island, opens to the pool as does the family room and downstairs bedroom. The family room/living room has a wood burning fireplace. Formal dining room, with eating space in the kitchen. A beautiful stone floored patio off the family room is grand for entertaining. The pool heats to 105 degrees for swimming enjoyment on cool days and nights.
