The Flori de Leon is a historical building built in 1927 and used by the New York Yankees during spring training in the 1920's and 1930's. This particular condominium "702" was leased each spring by baseball's premier player, Babe Ruth, from its opening in 1927 until his last season with the Yankees in 1934. The apartment is decorated with a variety of photos of the Babe, plus antiques from the period. It has been recently renovated with a gourmet kitchen but still has the original hardwood floors. bathroom tile, tub and separate shower, sink and medicine cabinet used by the Babe, and the facade of the original fireplace. The building has two large lounges on the top floor; one is the Babe Ruth Lounge and the other is the Lou Gehrig Lounge. There are two roof top decks for those who wish to sun or to enjoy the views of the bay, the city, sunsets, or holiday fireworks. Please note all that is included in the quarterly maintenance fee including unlimited water, gas and electricity.
