We started with the roof and roof structure. 3 layers of shingles and over 1/3 of the roof planking was removed and then replaced with 1x6 solid wood planks to match the original materials used in 1928. We then installed a 3 dimensional shingle with limited lifetime warrantee. The attic has been re insulated using Owes Corning rolled insulation. Next the bathrooms and kitchen were rebuilt from the frame out. New drywall, trim and paint were finished off by adding interior and exterior doors with brushed nickel hardware. Also solid wood cabinets with soft close, dove tail drawers and doors plus Kohler plumbing fixtures and 3cm granite. A new tub in the front bath and shower in the back bath makes for comfortable bathing. Engineered wood and tile floors throughout the house will provide long term comfort and durability. Several windows were replaced and a complete a/c system including duct work, vent covers and wifi enabled thermostat will help keep the utilities manageable even through the warm summer months. We've also installed a 40 gal. water heater in the rebuilt laundry. The exterior of the home has been completely sealed and painted. A pvc utility shed has been installed on the concrete pad in the back yard. The back yard is enclosed with a 1/2" board on board privacy fence with a single gate to the front yard and double gate to the service road on the east of the property. The front yard has been landscaped with simple low maintenance Florida friendly shrubs.
